About

My Story

My name is Heather Sayre & I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I was a public-school teacher for 5 years & then taught English as a Second Language for 7 years at a local community college. I then got my Masters of Science in Counseling & Development in order to do therapy & my School Counseling Certification too. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor and worked for the Children's Advocacy Center for Denton County, Excel Inpatient Facility, Hope's Door Women's Domestic Abuse Organization, and Terrell Counseling (Private Practice). During this time and after licensure, I worked with children, teens, adults & couples. I have extensive experience with therapy & offer a very solution focused approach to solve issues as a Licensed Professional Counselor. My practice offers many strategies to help deal with grief coaching, life transitions, aging issues, navigating relationships, educational coaching, goal setting, dealing with aging parents, mentoring (all ages), career changes, parenting issues, stress, anger & emotional management, and processing trauma.
